Bernard Shaw and Jacques Derrida at first seem to be unlikely philosophical partners. We usually think of Shaw as a playwright, not a philosopher. But both men had a keen eye and ear for what Derrida called "the problem of language."
And before Derrida was even born, Shaw intuited much of the brilliant critique of Platonism that would later make Derrida famous. This presentation was created for the 2022 "Shaw and Europe" presentation in Caceres, Spain.
