One of the best songs I've ever heard. 'Declaration of Dependence' is a landmark in the world musical scene. Conceived as a quick medieval "novelle vague", here we see a beautiful lady and her protector (a Templar Knight) living in a castle. The two fishes in the fount represent the proximity between the characters, as well as the pair of flowers on the water, the linking element. Passion can be overwhelming, as a fight against the invisible, or a magic prison where thoughts of insecurity are the bars. At the end we surrender ourselves to feelings, crowning them remarkably just to discover that the quest is not over yet...
I have made this film inspired by the delicate sounds reached along this song. The images were made under special authorization in the Saint George Castle, home of the first King of Portugal, Dom Afonso Henriques.
