The S.E. Shires BII 7YM Custom Model Axial-Flow Bass Trombone is a flexible instrument with a clear, absolute sound and the projection and playability that is a favorite choice of professional musicians all over the world.

Featuring the BII 7YM bell which is a two-piece 9 1/2” yellow brass bell with soldered bead wire that is built on a larger BII bell mandrel with an S.E. Shires construction technique that effectively combines the power and projection of a two-piece bell with the warmth and timbre flexibility of a one-piece bell. The result is a bell that can be used in any musical genre or situation. For a darker and warmer sound the BII 7YM Custom Model Axial-Flow Bass Trombone is also available with a gold brass bell. All bells feature the beautiful S.E. Shires floral engraving.

The S.E. Shires BII 7YM Custom Model Axial-Flow Bass Trombone also features S.E. Shires own axial-flow valve design that offers a smooth and precise operation combined with an open feel in and out of the valve register, even with both valves depressed. There are also three brass interchangeable leadpipes which allow you to customize the sound and feel of your instrument to your own personal preference and taste.

The S.E. Shires BII 7YM Custom Model Axial-Flow Bass Trombone is also constructed with a wide .564” slide in yellow brass with a nickel silver hand grip.
