Trip Report | Qatar Airways 737 MAX 8 Economy Class | Doha to Tbilisi

Traveling onboard a Qatar Airways 737 MAX in Economy Class from Doha, Qatar to Tbilisi, Georgia. Before the flight I explored Hamad International Airport and got the chance to visit the relatively new Orchard and Qatar Airways Platinum lounge, both of which happened to be very close to my gate. This was a bus gat and therefore we got nice ground views of the airport as we were bussed over to our aircraft.

Our aircraft, A7-BSB, was initially intended for S7 Airlines and was picked up by Qatar due to the sanctions. Qatar has only two rows of first class on their 737 MAX in a 2-2 configuration, with the rest of the aircraft being economy class. I was seated in the second row of economy for this flight.

After firing up the engines, we made a long taxi over to the runway before taking off over the Persian Gulf. Breakfast was served about an hour into the flight. I had an omelette dish with fruit & yogurt. We headed northwest over Iran and then Lake Sevan in Armenia, before touching down in Tbilisi. Overall I was impressed with the service & seat on this flight & enjoyed exploring the airport before the flight.
