Everyone told me not to become an animator… but I did it anyway.
From growing up in Iran where art wasn’t seen as a “real career,” to struggling through an expensive art school that taught me nothing, to finally breaking into the industry with shows like Paw Patrol and eventually Maya and the Three, this is my journey.

Along the way, I learned what it really takes to push through doubt, debt, and setbacks to make animation a career. And eventually, I co-founded TOAnimate, where we’re building the kind of education we wish we had when we started.
