Albania’s PM Announces its AI Minister “Pregnant” with 83 Children | ISH News

Albania has once again made global headlines for its bold step in technology and governance. Earlier, the country became the first in the world to appoint an AI Minister named Diella, with the goal of making the government more honest and corruption-free.
Now, Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that Diella is “pregnant” with 83 digital children not in a real sense, but as a metaphor. These “83 children” represent 83 AI assistants, each assigned to a Member of Parliament from the ruling party.
These digital assistants will help check government tenders, monitor public spending, prevent corruption, and improve the speed and accuracy of decision-making. The main idea is to ensure transparency and make sure every rupee of public money is used correctly.
However, experts are raising serious questions. What if AI makes a wrong decision? Who will be responsible? Can AI truly understand human emotions and complex social problems? Some also fear that politicians may use AI as an excuse to escape accountability.
There are also concerns about job security, as increased automation could replace human workers.
