1. Built in 1961, Ganggyeong Catholic Church is a modern-style church building with a unique structure including an interior built with a pointed arch.
It was designed and built by Priest Emile Beaudevin (1897–1976), who had a profound knowledge of architecture. As the building’s original structure and appearance have been well preserved, it is considered a valuable source of information on architectural and religious history in Korea.
