Even though the 5” setup is really compact, we still couldn’t fit it inside our wet bay. The Softener would still have to be outside, because that was absolutely too large. Since we have become accustomed to the frequency of changing the filters with the CAPACITY of the 10” filters we had with the Clearsource (2) Filter Unit, I wasn’t going to take the chance that I would get the same life out of the smaller 5” (3) filter unit, because I viewed that as too optimistic! Being full time, we would most likely immediately start to see the reduction in filter life “sooner”. We decided to error on the side of "longest life between filter changes as possible”!
