About this video: Throughout the whole day on August 13, 2025, I spent time tracking down trains all over the Washington D.C. area, primarily around peak commuting hours in the morning and the evening. First up is a good bunch of Amtrak and MARC trains along the Northeast Corridor in Odenton, MD. Next, I moved over to Fredericksburg, VA for a good amount of Amtrak, VRE, and CSX action. Finally, the rest of the clips were shot in Alexandria and Alrington, VA and feature a bunch more Amtrak, VRE, and CSX action. The highlight of the day came about midway through this evening rush hour with a heavily delayed Amtrak Crescent train 20 led by NS AC44C6M 4282 after the original power for 20 (Amtrak ALC-42 301) broke down earlier in the trip. My previous upload focused more on this train and its counterpart and has more information about the specific operation on this day.
