Here's another song from Dean Martin in 1965 with Leon Russell on piano. "Walk On By" was written by Kendall Hayes and recorded by Leroy Van Dyke in 1961 as the title track to an album and spent a record 19 weeks at Number One. Dean's cover was recorded with four other songs in the late evening of April 16, 1965 at United Recording Studio on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood. Don Lanier was session leader with William Sharp as the orchestra manager and Ernie Freeman as arranger. Among the thirty-two musicians were drummer Hal Blaine, bass player Chuck Berghofer, guitarists Bill Pitman and Dennis Budimir, and pianist Leon Russell. It's interesting to note that legendary recording engineer Eddie Brackett was among them as a percussionist along with Frank Capp.
