Audiotronics 300T Turntable Repair: Fixing A 'Scratchy' Knob

Hey Everyone we’re kinda back with a video that really isn’t what we normally do. But it’s music related so just thought we would share.

This is the first time I’ve ever done a video like this before, firs time for everything Not so much a tutorial but just a little incite into how I fixed an issue with a scratchy volume knob on this really cool vintage Audiotronics 300T portable turntable. These were issued to classrooms back in the day. How do I know? I bought it off a retired teacher from Hunting Beach that told me this! The only thing I couldn’t find was the time period this was built (anyone got any info on that????)

In the video I say you could compare these to Crosley’s but honestly, these really don’t compare because they’re just built so damn well. Nothing about this has any cheap Chinese plastic parts and is made 100% in the USA (North Hollywood to be exact!). A turntable like this is so reliable and if well taken care of can last you a long time. The maintenance I do on this video should help you with that.

The point of this video is to have something out there for anyone who might have had one of these laying around and thought it was “broken” or it just didn’t sound right. Maybe this is all that little machine needed? I don’t know but if I help one person, then I think this is well worth the time to put together. Spreading knowledge about this stuff is cool as hell!
