3. - I SAVED a remote OFF-GRID log cabin in the Swedish countryside

Thank you for all your comments and welcome to all new subscribers. I am very happy to see that so many of you are interested to follow this journey.

In this episode I am working on a project to try to save the 180+ year old shed from falling apart. It has taken a lot of damage over the years mainly due to roof leakage. The bottom sill in the back of the shed has rotten from brick tiles with moss that have been leaning against the wall for over 40 years.

I began by clearing all the moss from the roof tiles.

Previously I made an effort to place some roof sheet and scrap material on top of the roof. It held up pretty good but some water still managed to leak through.

I managed to lay a some waterproof tarp over the roof to prevent water from leaking in. Again, the heavy rain that we've had here this fall prevented me from recording any of that process.

Broken tiles have been replaced and some tiles have been aligned correctly. Hopefully it will be enough to stay dry during winter.

I also fixed a crooked chute and collected some sticks of wood laying around the property before they get too moldy.

I then took some time to have a look around the property and found some interesting buildings and ruins from the past - check it out!
