In this DROPS video we show you how to knit a fan edge with the help of a crochet hook.
Cast on 10 stitches on both a knitting needle and a crochet hook, (remember to have enough thread to cast on with). Make a yarn over the crochet hook, pull the yarn through the 10 stitches, pick up 1st stitch with the crochet hook and pull it through the loop on the crochet hook, tighten the thread, pick up the 10th stitches with the crochet hook, pull out the knitting needle and put the 2 stitches from crochet hook to the knitting needle * (= 1 fan).
Repeat from * - * until you have the number of stitches you want. 1 fan = 2 stitches, but cast on 2 new stitches between the 2 stitches in each fan on the 1st row from WS. 5 fans = 20 stitches.
We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.
