I explain the sprite-bending hack that I used on my first published game, Leander on the Commodore Amiga, which allows more sprites than on the SNES or SEGA Genesis.
It was a coder called Anthony Ball who brought this technique to my attention when I stopped by his house with my graphic artist back in the early 90’s
