Description and Rationale:
Monitoring of CMV infection in transplant recipients is currently performed by PCR for CMV in most of the centres, however which matrix to use (whole blood or plasma), way of reporting (copies/mL or International Units) is still extremely heterogeneous.

Immunological monitoring is perceived as something useful but very few centres are currently using this in their daily practice. Aim of this webinar is to describe the currently available tools and to give recommendation on what should be used to get the most reliable results.
