【Talkloid】YOHIOloid can't say "Cute"【Oliver, YOHIOloid】

i learned this after trying to make YOHIOloid say "curious" lol
Because this is a talkloid video about YOHIOloid's phoneme issues, I tried not to edit both Oliver and Hio's phonemes too different from the V5 dictionary to make it more authentic lol. If I did, it was because the pronunciation was way too off or nonexistent.
I sort of rushed on the art so excuse how funny their faces and Oliver's hair look lol

I have no idea what causes this as I really don't know that much about the creation of Vocaloid voicebanks. YOHIOloid seemingly has trouble saying the [kh j] phoneme combination, as he will just not say the [kh] sound, making him only say the [j]. This can be worked around by using the [k] phoneme instead.
It's not exclusive to [kh j u:] though, as I also tested it with [kh j I] and he just said "yi." It also appears to happen in Vocaloid 3, Vocaloid 4, and Vocaloid 5.

Edit (9/12/22):
Another good workaround is [kh i: u: t]! This one might sound better as it has the aspirated k and won’t sound as harsh as [k j u: t]
