Tropical Style Garden Tour, Flowering Banana Plants & Giant Gunnera at Picton Castle

Today's video is a quick garden tour around some of the exotic planting and tropical style displays in the woodland garden and grounds at Picton Castle in Pembrokeshire, Wales. There's plenty of amazing exotic plants including giant Gunnera manicata with it's huge leaves, huge Musa basjoo banana plants (including a flowering one), Dicksonia antartica tree ferns, flowering Trachycarpus fortunei hardy windmill palms, towering Cordylines and a beautiful walled Mediterranean style garden with loads of exotic plant and design ideas for small UK gardens. Some of the Echiums, Aeoniums and Tetrapanax are huge! It might just be a quick walkaround a large garden but there's loads of different plants here that could work in most UK gardens whether you're looking for ferns and foliage for a damp shady garden or drought-resistant plants for a sandy or well drained border in full sun. If you're ever in Wales then Picton Castle Gardens are well worth a visit and I bet the exotic display looks amazing in late summer set amongst the ancient and rare trees, I know I want to go back again when I next visit Wales!
