Interceptor 650: The Scenic Route to Montville via Stanley River Road

Ride Report: Glasshouse Mountains to Montville
Taking the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 out for a Sunday run through some of the best roads in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. This isn't a guide, just a raw ride report of the journey from the base of the Glasshouse Mountains up into the Blackall Range.
The Route:
Starting Point: Glasshouse Mountains—classic views of the volcanic peaks.
Stanley River Road: A fan-favorite for local riders, offering a mix of sweeping curves and rural scenery as you head toward Maleny.
Howell’s Knob Lookout: Stopped for a breather at one of the highest points in the area (561m) for a 280-degree view of the coast and hinterland.
Finish: Winding through the hills into the village of Montville.

The Interceptor 650 continues to be a perfect companion for these secondary backroads. Its 650cc parallel twin handles the climbs with ease, and the relaxed upright position makes the technical sections of the hinterland a breeze.
