In this video I'm getting back into milling after a few months break down with my saw, a Stihl 090. I got this tree from a wind storm a while back. It is a large white pine with the largest log at almost 3 feet in diameter. I'll be using this wood for a combination of table tops and for making seat blanks for windsor chairs. I was very happy to find this tree. I posted an ad on Craigslist to which a fella replied, he gave me the tree which was already down and limbed. All I did was cut it into logs and haul it off. I have now milled up 3 of the 4 logs it produced, I'll be milling up the final log soon. All this wood is being air dried on a covered porch.
