Pigeon Island National Park is one of Sri Lanka's three marine national parks. Located 1 km off the coast of Nilaveli in the Eastern Province, the park covers an area of 471.429 hectares. The island is named after the rock pigeon, a bird species that has established a colony there.
Pigeon Island is an ideal place for Snorkeling, you can catch a glimpse of Sharks and Sea turtles that freely swim around.
