Winternight is a time of honoring the ancestors , the spirits of the land, gods/goddesses , and the last of the harvest. Feeling the connection with the ancestors and land spirit for they're closest to the tribe on this day. Asking for protection against the harshness of winter. A tribes / clans would feast and light bonfires honoring all that is sacred on this day. Giving offering to ones ancestors on their altars in the home and altars outside in a sacred area for the land spirits. The tribe reflects with their deeds of the past, present and future. The Wild Hunt begins after Winter nights.
