Diana, the Princess of Wales died in Paris on 31st August 1997. Later that day her body was repatriated to RAF Northolt. The BBC News channel, News 24, is a month away from launch so BBC 1 simulcast BBC World overnight.
This VHS recording shows the top of a BBC World bulletin.
