Sigandur bridge is new and very popular bridge across the submerged area of sharavati back water. This bridge is built to connect sigandu village which is known for its very famous sigandur choudeshwari temple from rest of sagara villages. This is a kind of hanging bridge which connects Ambaragodlu village to Kalasavalli village. The length of this bridge is 2.44 km.
Daily thousands of people used to visit sigandur temple by sigandur ferry service. But now the travel has became very easy due to the construction of this cable bridge. This bridge has 17 pillers. Sigandur ferry service is now discontinued after the construction of this bridge. And sigandur bridge is the second longest cable bridge or hanging bridge in India.
The distance of this bridge from sagar city is around about 35 km. And the sigandur choudeshwari temple is situated at a distance of approximately 6km from this bridge.
