College Trigonometry Chapter 10, Topic 4—Extending De Moivre's Theorem to Negative Integers
Here is a way to show that De Moivre's Theorem works for n = - 1. It's a nice derivation and a good thing to see if you plan on studying math beyond trigonometry. Proving that the theorem works for all negative integers requires mathematical induction, which is not covered in this set of videos, but it would be a routine matter with that tool.
