HONG KONG Airport Travel Guide 🇭🇰 NAIA to HKIA, Travel Tips, Chungking Mansions Accommodation

As promised, here are some helpful info for your travel to Hong Kong. I hope you have a good trip there. Let my notes be like our conversation about your travel to Hong Kong

Note: If this is your first international travel, do not be scared by the stories of offloading and such that you see on Facebook travel groups. If you have the right travel documents, namely your Passport, Proof of Payment of Travel Tax, e-Travel form, and good intentions, then you will be alright.

Immigration officers may ask about your itinerary, employment, reason for stay, who you are travelling with, where you are staying, and others. Government employees may be required to present leave forms.

Better to advise your bank that you will be travelling abroad and will be using your cards to purchase.

For NAIA immigration:

There is also an e-Travel app. I recommend completing this before you arrive at the airport. Preferably, a day or two before your flight or earlier.

We used this mainly for Google Maps. It worked just fine for the entire trip.

For convenience, I recommend getting an Octopus Card as this card can be used for payment at most stores and also the transportation system accepts this. However, for smaller shops or restaurants, you might need to pay with cash.

David Lounge at Chungking Mansions on Agoda

I highly recommend this hotel. Very good location, clean room with air-conditioning and clean bathroom with a water heater. Take note that rooms at Chungking Mansions are compact. My family and I are accustomed to small spaces so we found our stay here quite pleasant.
