Your 22pin circular knitting machine has just arrived and you're excited to use it but before you do, watch this simple video that demonstrates what to do when your machine starts snagging yarn on the little red teeth in the very first row after cast on.
It doesn't matter what kind of machine you have, whether it's an Addi Express Professional or a Sentro, because most of them will catch and split the yarn soon after cast on, on those little prongs that sit either side of the white and black pins. This drives owners crazy and makes them worried their machine is broken.
Don't worry, your machine isn't broken, so stick around and I'll show you what I do when it happens and after that I'll give a quick explanation why it happens.

The 22pin circular knitting machine shown here is the Addi Express Professional by Addi. The Addi Express machines are made in Germany and can be bought through various online businesses.
The darning needle is made by Clover, which can be bought both in stores and online.
