Ever since I was young, I have always been a very anxious person which led me to be very controlling over many aspects of my life. In recent years, especially this past year, I have been working to let go of this need for control. Thinking back on my life, there is so much that God has given me, and there has never been a moment where he has let me down. This perspective of gratitude has opened up room for so much joy in my life. Emptying myself of my own ambitions and expectations has allowed me to let go of my anxieties and live for God rather than for myself. With God, I have won all my battles already. As the song says, “I got no reason to fear, I got Jesus on my side.”
