Hope College Political Science Professor Joel Toppen, whose academic work focuses on U.S. foreign policy and global governance, will analyze the country from an historical perspective and offer his insights on the war and the implications of the Taliban's return to power.
This speech was sponsored by the South Haven Speakers Series. The series, with the theme "Issues, Innovations and Ideas Shaping Our Lives", was launched in 2015 for the purpose of informing citizens by stimulating thought on significant issues of the day through presentations by non-partisan experts not otherwise available to South Haven.
