My girlfriend wanted a painting session—but I’m more into DIY projects. So I thought, why not build something together that she could also paint? I decided to make a custom handmade speaker, completely from scratch using MDF, stereo drivers, and some electronics.

From cutting the MDF pieces and 3D-printing my own clamps, to assembling the stereo drivers and amp, every step was a hands-on DIY challenge. I even designed a custom speaker grill to complete the look.

Once the speaker was ready, it became a blank canvas for her creativity. Watching her paint it in her own style was the highlight of this project—and it turned into something truly personal and one-of-a-kind.

The final build isn’t just a speaker—it’s a handmade creation full of love, creativity, and DIY spirit. And yes, it sounds as good as it looks!
