MONTE ROSA MASSIF

Majestic Monte Rosa Massif!!! Follow us to the second highest mountain in the Alps after Mont Blanc!!!
Η εξόρμησή μας στον επιβλητικό όγκο του Monte Rosa πραγματοποιήθηκε από την ιταλική πλευρά και διήρκησε 4 μέρες από 29 Ιουλίου έως και την 01 Αυγούστου 2025.
Βρεθήκαμε στην Κοιλάδα της Αόστα - ένας παγκοσμίου γνωστός τόπος συνάντησης ορειβατών - και με αφετηρία το Gressoney/Staffal, διανυκτερεύσαμε την πρώτη μέρα στο "Rifugio Gabiet" (2.370 m.).
Την δεύτερη μέρα ανεβήκαμε στο "Paso dei Salati" (2.970 m.) κι από κει στο "Punta Indren" (3.260 m.) και αφού διασχίσαμε ένα τμήμα του παγετώνα "Indren" καταλήξαμε στο "Rifugio citta di Mantova" (3.500 m.).
Ακολούθησε ο κατάλληλος εγκλιματισμός με μικρές αναβάσεις - καταβάσεις στη γύρω περιοχή.
Ξεκινήσαμε την μέρα των κορυφών με πολύ καλό καιρό. Ομάδες Ιταλών ορειβατών άρχισαν να ανεβαίνουν στους παγετώνες πάνω από το καταφύγιο. Στην παρέα μας προστέθηκε ο Alessandro ένας νέος δυνατός ιταλός αλπινιστής ενώ σε πολλά σημεία της διαδρομής πηγαίναμε παράλληλα και με άλλες ομάδες.
Μετά από ώρες ανάβασης και με την πυκνότητα του οξυγόνου να φτάνει μετά βιας στο 60% (αυτό κουράζει και καταπονεί το σώμα και περιορίζει κατά πολύ την κίνηση), καταφέραμε να πατήσουμε σε τρείς 4άρες κορυφές του Monte Rosa (έχει τις περισσότερες 4άρες από όλες τις Άλπεις, σύνολο 21). "Signalkuppe" 4.554 m., "Piramide Vincent" 4.215 m. και "Balmenhorn" 4.167 m.
Επίσης καταφέραμε να απολαύσουμε την καταπληκτική θέα από το ψηλότερο καταφύγιο της Ευρώπης το "Capanna Margherita".
Ήταν μια αξέχαστη εμπειρία από αυτές που δεν τις βιώνεις συχνά και "δυνάμωσε τα φτερά μας" για υπερβάσεις και νέες συγκινήσεις.
Ευχαριστούμε μια φορά ακόμα, τους ιταλούς φίλους που για άλλη μια χρονιά μας "αγκαλιάζουν" και μας κάνουν να αισθανόμαστε τόσο οικεία.

Our expedition to the imposing massif of Monte Rosa took place from the Italian side and lasted 4 days from July 29 to August 01, 2025.
We found ourselves in the Aosta Valley - a world-famous meeting place for climbers - and starting from Gressoney/Staffal, we spent the first day at the "Rifugio Gabiet" (2,370 m.).
On the second day we climbed to the "Paso dei Salati" (2,970 m.) and from there to the "Punta Indren" (3,260 m.) and after crossing a section of the "Indren" glacier we ended up at the "Rifugio citta di Mantova" (3,500 m.).
This was followed by appropriate acclimatization with small ascents - descents in the surrounding area.
We started the day of the summits with very good weather. Groups of Italian climbers began to climb the glaciers above the refuge. Alessandro, a young, strong Italian alpinist, joined our group, while at many points along the route we went in parallel with other groups.
After hours of climbing and with the oxygen density suddenly reaching 60% (this tires and strains the body and greatly limits movement), we were able to set foot on three 4000-meter peaks of Monte Rosa (it has the most 4000-meter peaks of all the Alps, 21 in total). "Signalkuppe" 4,554 m., "Piramide Vincent" 4,215 m. and "Balmenhorn" 4,167 m.
We also managed to enjoy the amazing view from the highest refuge in Europe, the "Capanna Margherita".
It was an unforgettable experience that you don't experience often and "strengthened our wings" for transcendence and new emotions.
We thank once again, the Italian friends who for another year "embrace" us and make us feel so familiar.
