Seán Heely paints a sonic landscape that captures both ancient mysticism and contemporary brilliance in his evocative performance of "Sunset on the Callanish Stones & Bluebird Days," live from the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center on Apr 19, 2025.

Seán Heely is a U.S. National champion in Scottish fiddle and Gàidhlig singing. Irish fiddle legend Liz Carroll calls Heely “one powerhouse of a fiddler!”

In his performances, Heely presents ancient, powerful melodies from Scotland, Ireland, and other Celtic nations such as Galicia and Brittany. Original compositions and modern tunes are fused seamlessly with the historical narrative with which he engages audiences.

Heely was a 2019 Artist-in-Residence at Strathmore and in 2023 became the first Strathmore Artist-in-Residence in the 20-year history to headline a sold-out show at the Strathmore Concert Hall.
