In this video, I locate fish on a lake that is dropping water level quickly. Elephant Butte Reservoir in New Mexico currently only has about 5% of its capacity. This is a Lowland 1 lake that structures that leading into the channel, many of which are now accessible at low water. Due the changing water level, each visit to the lake is like fishing a whole new lake. Following the principles of Spoonplugging, I quickly arrive at the fish. Each area of the lake is considered a lake within a lake and is treated as such. Water color, depth and structures all need to be considered when fishing in different sections of the lake.
