Hi ! My name is Ruben Vasconcelos from RMCV channel and in this video I will show how to make a 3D printed diorama of the "First man on Mars: the dead astronaut".
"First man on Mars" ?!?! Wait ! How is that possible ?
In the midst of the intense space race between the United States and the Soviet Union during the 1960s, the NASA embarked on a clandestine mission that would forever remain shrouded in secrecy. It was a bold attempt to reach Mars, a feat that, if successful, would have rewritten the history books.
In November 1967, NASA launched the first flight of the mighty Saturn V rocket. But hidden within its classified mission parameters was a daring objective: to send a lone astronaut to the distant shores of Mars.
Concealed within the spacecraft, known to only a select few, was Virgil Ivan "Gus" Grissom, a seasoned astronaut with nerves of steel and a determination unmatched by any.
Finally, after months of anticipation, the spacecraft approached the Martian surface. But tragedy struck in the final moments as the landing sequence malfunctioned, sending the craft plummeting towards the alien terrain below.
In a violent collision, "Gus" Grissom's journey came to a tragic end, his life claimed by the harsh embrace of the Martian soil.
Previously, on January 1967, during a routine test of the command module, NASA officially declared "Gus" Grissom deceased, attributing his death to a tragic accident, shielding the mission's secrecy from Soviet spies. With his "real" dead, this remained the oficial cause of death for "Gus".
Now, with the declassification of long-hidden documents, the true story of "Gus" Grissom's heroism came to light.
His journey, though fraught with peril, symbolizes humanity's unyielding quest for knowledge—a testament to the indomitable spirit that propels us ever onward into the cosmos.
