Old Electric Black&Decker Drill Amazing Restoration

Hello everyone! How are you guys doing?

It seemed that restoring old electrical tools on YT getting popular, especially old drills, so I decided I give it a try too. I got this vintage Black&Decker corded drill with 3/8" chuck on flea market just or 10 dollars.

This Restoration was quite challenging for me, as I never taken apart such things, disassembling, however, wasn't that hard, in fact I had a lot of fun doing that. But putting it back together was tough, especially trigger mechanism, that was pain in the A, but I got her done!

I decided not to paint the handle, as I heard that paint doesn't really sticks to plastic well and over time will peal off, so I just sand of all the scratches and called it good, turned out OK in my opinion.

To clean the chuck I used electrolysis, powered by a small 12V 2,5A power adaptor and baking soda and water solution as electrolyte, works like a charm! I cleaned the rust of my other restorations using this method, check em out!
