Maurizio Cazzati (March 1, 1616 - September 28, 1678) was an Italian composer of the 17th century. Born in Luzzara, Emilia-Romagna, Cazzati was one of the most prolific composers of his time, producing a wide variety of works, including motets, sonatas, concertos, and sacred music.

Cazzati was a master of counterpoint and choral writing, and his works are characterized by great melodic beauty and complex harmonic structure.
