Radon Coming From Hole In Basement Floor - Condensate Drain For HVAC Appliances

Here I point out a hole in the basement floor which is used to accommodate a condensate drain from the dehumidifier, furnace, and air conditioner - the A-coil. Radon comes up from this hole. Often times customers are concerned about this.
I usually tell customers that they can seal it around the drain tube with caulking to block the radon from coming up, but if they install a sub-slab depressurization system in their basement then they will not need to seal this hole.
