Lying on the ground, body numb with pain, he used his last strength to beg for help.
Richie was found abandoned, severely neglected, and living alone after his previous owner was sent to jail. His fur was matted, his body thin and weak, and he suffered from mange, hunger, and cold. Rescuers gently approached him, wrapped him in a blanket, and took him to safety.
At the rescue center, Richie received immediate medical care — his matted fur was carefully shaved, he was given warm medicated baths, antibiotics, pain relief, and nutritious meals. With time, rest, and gentle handling, he slowly began to trust again. The first sign of hope came when his tail gave a small wag.
Richie is now in recovery, healing physically and emotionally, and finally experiencing love and care after being abandoned.
