Schneider M580 PLC Configuration with Control expert software for the Beginner | Tutorial | M580 PLC

This video is technical about PLC and their software.In this video we are focuing on Schneide M580 Non-SIL(Non Safety) PLC configured with Contrpl Expert software 14.1 of Schneider software for the beginner who want to know basic about software and PLC panel configuration.

System with Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64bits
System: Pentium Processor 2.4 GHz or higher, recommended 3.0 GHz
Core i3 Processor or higher, recommended Core i7

RAM memory: 4GB minimum; recommended: 8GB
(see below note for Virtual machine)
Hard disk: minimum available free space 8 GB, recommended 20 GB
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
On Windows 7 64bits System, installation of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) is mandatory in order to use Control Expert V14.1

Note: Windows 7 32 bits is not supported


System with Microsoft Windows 10 32(*) / 64bits

System: Pentium Processor 2.4 GHz or higher, recommended 3.0 GHz
Core i3 Processor or higher, recommended Core i7

RAM memory: 4GB minimum, recommended: 8GB
(see below note for Virtual machine)

Hard disk: minimum available free space 8 GB, recommended 20 GB
Windows 10 64bits is mandatory to manage projects with Modicon M580 controller , or projects using DTMs.

Note : EcoStruxure Control Expert V14.1 has been tested with Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB (Build 14393)

Recommended version: Windows Server 2016, standard version
Processor recommended: 3.20GHz
RAM memory recommended: 16.0 GB

EcoStruxure Control Expert V14.1 has been tested with the following antivirus/protection active:
McAfee Virus Scan Entreprise V 8.8
Cylance Protect V2.0.1520.3 (Win7) et 2.0.1534.15 (Win10)
Defender for Win10

Important information
Control Expert requires .NET 3.5 and .NET 4.5.2
Depending on the target Windows version and Windows configuration, .Net versions may be
not installed
installed but not enabled ( the related "windows feature" is not set ON )
installed and enabled

Control Expert setup tries to automatically install and enable the required .Net on the target Windows if necessary.

On Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016, automatic or manual installation of .Net 3.5 requires an internet connection.
And service “Windows Update” must be started in order to install the .NET Framework 3.5.

Virtualization:
Control Expert V14.1 has been successfully tested in the following configuration:
Virtual Box 5.2.16-123759
VMware Workstation 14 Pro 14.1.0
Note: Ram memory of host computer must be 8GB minimum if Control Expert is used in a Virtual machine (with 4GB assigned to the Virtual machine).


DVD-ROM drive: to install the software;
DVD-ROM writer recommended

Display:
Min VGA (800-600).
Recommended:
SVGA (1024-768 or more) with high color 24 bits
SVGA (1280-1024 or more) for Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016

Pointing device:
Mouse or compatible devices.
Access rights on the computer
Control Expert V14.1 needs to have Administrator access right for installing the software.
For Control Expert usage User access right are sufficient
Nevertheless Administrator rights must be used for updating the Hardware catalog (CANopen, DTM)
PRM DTM requires administrator rights to work correctly.

Note:
User must check that all directories used by Control Expert are accessible in read write mode.

Log file path
Check the directory c:\UnityProTemp (Hidden directory) has the following rights: Read, Execute and Write.
