The A52 runs cross-country for 146 miles / 235km from the Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire, through the cities of Stoke-on-Trent, Derby and Nottingham, then running for many miles in south Lincolnshire to terminate on the east-coast resort town of Skegness. It once ran further west to Nantwich in Cheshire, but this was scaled back when the A500 extension took place. There are a few improved sections and bypasses, but much of the route remains a single carriageway primary route.
This video shows the full route of the A52 from Derby city centre, along the "Brian Clough Way" between Derby and Nottingham, then along the Clifton Boulevard in Nottingham, then finally terminating at the Gamston roundabout near the National Water Sports Centre, south of the city.
