Here’s a recent Squier ‘70s Classic Vibe Jaguar just in for a setup. These are pretty dang great guitars after you tweak them and they even come with Alnico pickups these days.
Two key ingredients to a happy modern Jag setup (for the average Joe) are knocking the neck angle back (for taller saddle height and better downpressure on the bridge) and also using some sort of ferrules to lock the bridge posts in place. The original free-float works great if you have the head for keeping an eye on it, but the vast majority of players do better with a fixed bridge methinks. I use spare tuner ferrules to slip over the posts and down into the mounting cups.
