NEW WORLD RECORD! Earlier in August, ILWU longshore labor at the Port of Long Beach's Total Terminals International terminal at Pier T achieved something incredible – setting a new record for vessel lifts in a single call.
They moved an astonishing 36,388 TEUs on the MSC Arina, a 24,000 TEU-class vessel. This shatters all previous records at the San Pedro Bay ports complex and is now recognized as the highest vessel lift total worldwide.
