This video covers a wide-range of experimental techniques used to synthesise an organic liquid.
All specifications aimed at learners 16–18 years (eg A-levels in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, Scottish Higher and Advanced Highers and the Republic of Ireland Leaving Certificate), include some form of synthesis of a pure organic liquid or solid.
You will need to appreciate that organic synthesis can involve multiple reactions, followed by extraction and purification steps.
