This video shows a glider pilot competing in the OLC Speed League against other pilots around the world by flying straight on course as fast and as far as possible without having to stop to climb in thermals - the greatest distance flown at the fastest average speed over a 2 1/2 hour time window counts. The flight originated from Boulder, Colorado. The glider is a Ventus 2cxT high-performance glider from Schempp-Hirth with a wingspan of 18 meters.
