The Prince George Chamber of Commerce has taken meaningful steps toward reconciliation by updating its Oath of Office bylaw to allow directors to be sworn in by the Mayor of Prince George or the Chief of the Lheidli T'enneh First Nation.
In a historic first, the 2024 Board was sworn in by Chief Dolleen Logan, followed by the appointment of Councillor Clayton Pountney as an official LTFN representative on the Chamber’s Board.
Building on a 2022 partnership agreement between the Chamber and LTFN, this collaboration has deepened through hosting major events at Uda Dune Baiyoh (House of Ancestors), the Nation’s events facility.
The Chamber continues to turn reconciliation into reconcili-action by embedding partnership and respect at the core of its work.
