Currently, we stand at Byrsa Hill, nestled within the archaeological expanse of Carthage in Tunis, Tunisia. This site presents the vestiges of the ancient Punic city. Gerak Darma's team has arrived at what is known today as the Punic Quarter, also dubbed 'Hannibal's neighborhood'. Visitors here can explore the remnants of a Carthaginian residential area, complete with street patterns, houses, and an array of Punic graves. During the Punic era, Byrsa Hill was home to a temple dedicated to Eschmoun, the Carthaginian deity. The Romans razed most of the Punic edifices, leaving behind only a diminutive yet intact segment of a residential district from Hannibal's era, dating back to the 3rd century BC. We are about to commence our journey through Hannibal's Quarter.
