Coorg Episode 1 :Relaxing Evolve Back

On 23rd of September we visited Coorg , the Coffee Capital of India . Nestled in the hills of Karnataka , it is a picturesque place known for its misty mountains, rippling waterfalls , spice gardens , diverse wild life , lush green nature and world class coffee.
In the series to come we will take our audience around the first Tibetan monastery in India , in Bylakup , Elephant orphanages , spice plantations etc.
Evolve Back is 360 kilometers from Bangalore Airport. It took us nearly 6 hours to reach Madekeri n then Evolve Back.
As we embarked from rhe car we were welcomed by some Karnatic music , given cold towels to refresh ourselves. We relaxed in the lounge while all the formalities were being done and was greeted by the sound of Cicada ..It was mating time for the male cicada who screamed at the top of their voice to attract the female Cicada. The males die soon after mating.
Evolve Back was founded by Emmanuel Thomas Ramapuram. It spans over a huge area , having it's own coffee and spice Plantation.
Coffee was first grown by Britisher John Fowler, and very soon every household in Coorg was growing Coffee .
We were greeted by very friendly staff.Neetu became our personal supervisor ,showed us around the property . She took us till the restaurant Pepercone , where we would have our breakfast.

The ground floor of the restaurant housed the yoga centre .Overlooking the dining hall was the swimming pool. We saw a gang enjoying the pool , even though it was drizzling.The area was resonating with the chirping of birds .
Nitu took us to our banglow and gave us an oriorientation of the same.
As soon as she left we all jumped into the swimming pool and had a gala time splashing water n enjoying our drinks. Later in the day Nitu helped me to drape a Coorgi Saree.
As we had a hearty brunch we skipped Lunch.
Next morning before leaving for the city we had a hearty breakfast and I tried out passion fruit as wellbas passion juice.
