বাংলাদেশের বিদ্যুৎ ও জ্বালানি খাতে আসতে যাচ্ছে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পরিবর্তন। ক্রমবর্ধমান চাহিদা, দেশের গ্যাস মজুদের কমে যাওয়া, আমদানিনির্ভরতা এবং ভর্তুকির চাপ—এসবকে সামনে রেখে সরকার ঘোষণা করেছে Bangladesh Energy Plan 2025 বা Energy and Power Sector Master Plan 2025। এই ভিডিওতে আমরা বিশ্লেষণ করেছি Bangladesh Energy Bangladesh, দেশের 25 বছরের জ্বালানি পথ, এবং এর প্রভাব দেশের অর্থনীতি ও জনগণের জীবনযাত্রার উপর।

বর্তমানে দেশের প্রাথমিক জ্বালানির প্রায় ৭০ শতাংশ আমদানি করতে হয়। LNG, কয়লা ও তেলের উপর নির্ভরতা দিন দিন বাড়ছে। Energy Master Plan 2025-এর লক্ষ্য হলো ধীরে ধীরে এই আমদানিনির্ভরতা কমানো, দেশীয় গ্যাস অনুসন্ধান বাড়ানো এবং নবায়নযোগ্য শক্তি যেমন সৌর ও বায়ু বিদ্যুতের ব্যবহার বাড়ানো। পরিকল্পনা অনুযায়ী, ২০৫০ সালে প্রাথমিক জ্বালানির আমদানি ৫০ শতাংশের নিচে নেমে আসবে, আর দেশীয় গ্যাসের অংশ অন্তত ৬০ শতাংশে উন্নীত হবে।

এই পরিকল্পনায় বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদনের চাহিদা প্রক্ষেপণ করা হয়েছে—বর্তমানে যেখানে বার্ষিক উৎপাদন প্রায় ১০০ টেরাওয়াট-ঘণ্টা, সেখানে ২০৫০ সালে তা ৪০০ টেরাওয়াট-ঘণ্টায় পৌঁছাতে পারে। Renewable Energy-এর ভূমিকা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হবে, যেখানে সৌর ও বায়ু বিদ্যুৎ বিদ্যুতের ৩০–৫০ শতাংশ উৎপাদন দেবে। এছাড়া বর্জ্য থেকে বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন ও হাইড্রোজেন শক্তির ব্যবহারও পরিকল্পনার মধ্যে রয়েছে।

খসড়া পরিকল্পনায় বিদ্যুৎ ও জ্বালানি খাতের বর্তমান চ্যালেঞ্জ, যেমন সিস্টেম লস, অতিরিক্ত ক্ষমতা, ভর্তুকি ও অর্থনৈতিক চাপের বিষয়গুলোও বিশদভাবে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। ২০২৩-২৪ অর্থবছরে ভর্তুকি ৪০ হাজার কোটি টাকার বেশি হয়েছে। ধাপে ধাপে ঢালাও ভর্তুকি কমিয়ে চাহিদাভিত্তিক মূল্য নির্ধারণ প্রবর্তনের লক্ষ্য রয়েছে, যাতে ২০৫০ সালের মধ্যে জ্বালানি ভর্তুকি GDP-এর ১% এর নিচে আসে।
