5 valves per cylinder - is that a lot or a little? The Audi and Volkswagen engineers thought enough was enough. From the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s, engines with 5 valves per cylinder were installed on VAG cars. The most common and long-lived of them are in-line "four", both atmospheric and turbocharged.
