I upgrade to an advanced furnace and I prepare for the first real burn after collecting a good amount of nitrice. It does not go the way I expect.
The heat spike caused by the much higher output pump rate looks catastrophic at first as the annex rockets up to 60°C, far beyond what I wanted but instead of ruining the setup, the overshoot turns out to be almost perfect. The cold tank absorbs the excess, the temperatures equalise, and the whole system settles almost exactly where I needed it.
Alongside that breakthrough, the furnace burns give me enough alloys to upgrade the last printers to Tier 2, build new filtration units for nitrogen and volatiles, and run a CO2 line directly into the greenhouse, ready for the next phase of automation.
The annex is finally behaving… but running an advanced furnace in this environment is going to demand constant vigilance and I may need to set up a cooling loop in future.
