"The Geoff Notkin Collection of Meteorites Signature Auction" Part Two is currently open for online bidding at ha.com/notkin 140+ lots comprise highlights of my personal collection acquired through nearly thirty years of searching for meteorites on six continents and working as a professional meteorite vendor via the company I founded, Aerolite Meteorites.
The auction also includes important historic meteorite-related books, letters, and documents and many items from my hit television series, "Meteorite Men." The date of the live in-person event at Heritage Auctions — and the final day for bidding — is July 22, 2023.
Lot 72131, featured in this exclusive video, is an extraordinary laboratory-prepared slice of the pallasite meteorite, Seymchan. Comprise of a mixture of extraterrestrial nickel-iron and olivine (peridot), this is an extremely rare transitional slice that features characteristics of both iron and stony-iron meteorites.
All Notkin Collection meteorites are accompanied by a hand-made and personally numbered specimen identification card.
